SPORTS
The sports facilities at the Complutense offer members of the university community the opportunity to enjoy all kinds of activities, whether physical/sporting, recreational, competitive or simple pastimes.
There is a wide range of sports on offer and everyone is invited to take part. Team sports with their corresponding championship leagues include : basketball, football, indoor football, rugby, volleyball, etc.
Each university centre has its own sports club responsible for organising sporting activity, where university students can sign up to take part in official internal competitions within the Complutense.
All members of the University can take part in the sports schools which offer many different activities including tennis, paddle tennis, aerobics, keep-fit, swimming, yoga, body-building, diving, tai-chi, Greek dancing, rafting, mountain trekking, cardio-boxing, capoeira, pilates, batuka, chess, archery, kayak polo, etc.
The sports facilities also allow spontaneous participation in individual and collective activities. The School of Sports Medicine offers check-ups to any teachers, students, administrative and ancillary staff wishing to take advantage of this service.
Facilities
The Complutense University campus has five large sports centres, four on the Moncloa campus and one in Somosaguas. These have pitches for football, indoor football and rugby, tennis courts, paddle tennis, volleyball, beach volleyball and basketball, covered playing fields and swimming pools.
